Rock Your Locker FAQ
Everything you need to know about early access lockers for the 26/27 school year.
When is the Rock Your Locker Event?
For the 2026–2027 school year, Rock Your Locker will be held on Friday, July 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This is a drop-in event, so there is no need to arrive right at 9:00 a.m. We have plenty of lockers for every student, and your child will be able to choose a locker regardless of when you arrive during the event.
In previous years, the busiest time has been right at the beginning, as many students wanted to find lockers near their friends. To make the experience even more fun, consider having your child coordinate a time to meet up with friends during the event. Arriving around 10:00 a.m. or later is a great way to avoid the crowds while still enjoying the excitement of decorating lockers together.
Do I need to join PTO?
Membership in the PTO is completely voluntary, but access to Rock Your Locker is only available to PTO members.
Does my membership obligate me to volunteer?
No. We will have various volunteer opportunities throughout the year (find these by reading the SFMS Newsletter), but volunteering is completely optional. Your membership fee is simply a tax deductible donation to a 501(c)3 organization. All funds raised stay at South Forsyth Middle School and go directly back to benefit the students and teachers.
How do I get access to the Rock Your Locker Event?
You will need to join the PTO on this website AND purchase your Eagle Pack on SchoolPay.com, both available on 7/17/2026.
What is the total cost to attend the early access locker event?
You will need to pay for your $30 PTO membership (on the PTO website starting 7/15/2026), as well as $25 for your Eagle Pack.
I have multiple students at South Forsyth Middle School - do I need a PTO membership for each student?
No, one PTO membership is good for all SFMS students living at the same address. However, you will need to purchase a locker for each individual student. For example, a family with a 6th grader and an 8th grader will need to purchase one PTO membership and two Eagle Packs.
What is in my child's Eagle Pack?
Included in the Eagle Pack this year is your child's agenda, ticket to 1 athletic event, SFMS pencil pouch and their Locker Fee. These items will be distributed to students in the first few days of school.
What if I do not want to participate in the PTO and the Rock Your Locker Event, when will my child get their locker?
Students who do not participate in Rock Your Locker will receive their locker assignment from their homeroom teacher on the first day of school, once their Eagle Pack has been purchased.
Please note that lockers will not be distributed during Open House, so families should plan to participate in Rock Your Locker or wait until the first day of school.
What if I show up before the start time for Rock Your Locker?
You will be asked to wait until the time of the event is called. People who show up early will not be allowed to enter and select their locker prior to the start time of the event.
What do I need to bring to prove I paid for my PTO membership and locker?
PTO and school staff will have lists of all paid memberships and locker payments made through 7/30/26. Online purchases will be turned off at this time. We will have a table to look up and confirm your PTO membership and locker payment. You will experience a faster check-in process if you have paid for both items prior to 7/30/26.
What do I do if I'll be out of town and can't attend the Rock Your Locker Event?
If you provide proof of your PTO membership payment and proof of your locker purchase, you can reach out to Principal Liz Tuck at ltuck@forsyth.k12.ga.us to coordinate a time to pick your locker after the Rock Your Locker event and before the first day of school.
